The x10 LW10U Wall Dimmer is British. I’m in the U.S. and familiar with our X10 products. Hopefully my answer is correct for you.
The same x10 Palm Pad Remote is used here. You need a device to receive the x10 Palm Pad Remote RF frequencies and send the X-10 Powerline signals over the mains. Found a British company with the product – link provided below.
Don’t know if my computer software experience will apply to you. Tried the X10.com software – the software was attractive – but the wall module was junk. Currently use the Smarthome module with basic software. The Smarthome wall module is quality but the basic software needs updating. Smarthome offers advanced software that is expensive and overkill for my installation. The British company listed in the link below offers software and a computer Interface – offered separately.
